The Boulevard on Marco Island

For our last meal before heading north to Bucks County, we went to The Boulevard in Marco Island with our friends Steve and Robby. It’s a very nice, casual and informal restaurant, previously called The Philly Grill. They have always made delicious flatbreads which Barb has been a fan of. Their menu is mostly Italian, but has several different influences. The wine list is small, but reasonable. They do not do BYO and , therefore, have no corkage fee. Their food is always tasty and freshly prepared and the service is friendly, attentive and well-timed.

I started with the lentil soup. Plenty of veggies and a very tasty broth.
The house salad comes with all the entrees. Nice fresh greens with a good house dressing.
Steve upgraded his salad to a Caesar. Not very expensive and he enjoyed it.
Robby had the Uptown Flatbread. Brie, onion jam, apples, roasted garlic and balsamic drizzle. Quite delicious and very generous for one person.
Steve had Bronzini Livornese, a special that night.
I really enjoyed the large and delicious Chicken Parmagiana. It’s always tender and tasty.
I changed my side pasta dish to spaghetti with garlic and oil. They roast and slice the fresh garlic. Mmmmm.
Barb had another special: Barramundi Almondine. They gladly swapped out her pasta for fresh steamed veggies.

We ordered a slice of Limoncello Cake to share for dessert. It was quite delicious.

We’ve been going to this restaurant for several years under both owners. It’s always been fun, informal and consistently satisfying. When you are in Marco Island and looking for a predictably good place that pleases all palates, this is a spot you should visit.
