Had a delightful lunch with my three favorite granddaughters. It made my week an absolute treat and they were great company.Perhaps the restaurant couldn’t afford menus, so they use these digital scanning menus. 😉Sophia had theFungi Pizza with Tomatoes, mushrooms, cheese and Truffle Oil.Sarah, a woman of simple tastes. , had the Plain Jane Pizza. A marinara and cheese pizza.I ordered the Tartufo Pizza with Sausage, mushrooms, tomatoes, cheese and truffle oil.Emma felt more like pasta than pizza, so she ordered a child’s portion of Rigatoni with a meatball. Barb ordered La Grill, shrimp, tomatoes, arugula and good dressing on the side. The pizzas literally came out in 2 minutes because they have a real wood-fired oven. Just like they use in Italy.
This great pizza place also has a truck that they take to the farmers market every Sunday in downtown Summit. Of course, it’s BYOB, perfect for those $8 to $14 bottles of red that you’ve bought and don’t know anything about. Simple, plain, delicious. Truly Italian in concept and creation.
Makes me homesick fior NJ/PA. Nothing like those pies here in Sarasota area.
