Nahm Thai and French Cuisine in Madison, NJ

Barb and I decided to check out this cute Thai/French restaurant the other night. No one told us about it and we had no great expectations. It wasn’t particularly crowded when we entered or left. It was byob with some outside seating. The menu was difficult to find online. Nonetheless, we decided to give it a try.

This escargot dish was served in puff pastry with a Champagne sauce. No starting picture, but once I had a bite or two I decided that the food was most likely going to excel. I’ve had identical dishes many times in France with less generous portions of escargots.
Barb ordered a Fresh Roll with vegetables, rice and a delicious dipping sauce with peanuts. Really tasty.
I ordered Bangkok duck. Very crispy in a red curry sauce (medium hot) with pineapple and lychee. Best duck I’ve had in a long time.
Barb’s entree was ”Mr Bronzino”: a whole fish fried with Mango salad and a Sweet Chile Tamarand sauce. A beautifully presented and tasty dish.
Brown or White rice a was served with both entrees
Brought a nice Pinot Noir which accompanies Thai food very nicely.
I had the Fried Ice Cream with a berry sauce. Also nicely presented and Flambeed.

All in all this restaurant was an excellent find and an unexpected treat. The prices were very reasonable. The servers were very pleasant and attentive. Its well worth seeking out.
