A few nights ago Barb and I decided to try out a new place very near to our home in Naples. We have been enjoying Thai food in the Princeton area this year, so we were happy to hear about a new local place down south. We were amazed to find that Thesen has been here for over three years. I have no idea how it’s been off my radar for so long.
We popped over and got a table with no problem. It’s still “pre-season” down here for one more week, so we pretty much get into anyplace we want. Fun! Of course that ends after Christmas.
Thesen Asian Noodle House is both a Thai and Sushi restaurant. They have a full bar and just adequate wine list. I’d recommend bringing your own bottle if you are into better wines. Their corkage fee is a reasonable $20.

We started with an appetizer of Tuna Tataki that I forgot to photograph. That’s a shame because it was attractive as well as delicious.

We will definitely be returning to Thesen for future meals. Our server, Julius, was very nice and eager to please. A young woman named Ellie seems to be the manager and checked on us several times. They are flexible with the menu and willing to make changes when requested and reasonable. They are open for both lunch and dinner, 7 days a week.
On our next excursion I will be bringing a Pinot Noir if we are craving sushi or something “spicy” like a Shiraz, Zinfandel or Gewurtztraminer if we are thinking curries. Either way, I’m sure we will have another super meal.
