Los Molcajetes-Bayshore an Update

We recently returned to Los Molcajetes on Bayshore in East Naples. It’s been a favorite of ours for several years. We usually go 3 or 4 times a year. The quality is consistent and the servers couldn’t be nicer. This is just a recent update.

We brought a nice bottle of Rioja. Our waitress said there was a $30 corkage. I told her that we’ve never paid them more than $15 corkage. She brought her boss out and we compromised on $10.
Barb ordered Chicken Fajitas. They came out sizzling in a huge portion. Plenty leftover for the next night.
I’m pretty sure that Mike ordered Chicken Enchiladas. Came with a ton of rice and beans. It was too much for him, so he gave me his leftovers for the next night.
Lynn had Chicken Gorditas and enjoyed. Too much for her so I got more leftovers for my next dinner. It’s good to have friends who seldom eat leftovers.
I ordered my old standby: Chile Rillenos. They had no beef that night so I got them with chicken.

We had this dinner on a Monday night. Barb’s favorite, the Ceviche, was not offered with fish, only octopus. Thus her choice of Fajitas. They were also out of beef for the Chile Rillenos. Both of our dishes were good, but left us wanting for our usual meals.

So in the future we will avoid Mondays at Molcajetes. It remains our favorite Mexican food in Naples and we’ll most likely be returning next week. I think I’ll have to revisit some of their more exotic tacos like Tongue tacos and Sweatbread tacos. Always a treat.
