We chose to have dinner at Kareem’s a few nights ago. They have a nice outdoors setup and excellent Lebanese cuisine. Their wines by the glass were good and I’ve always enjoyed a Lebanese Bordeaux blend that they always have on the menu.
Sol and Carin are always excellent company and willing to check out different cuisines. The meal is served with a light puffy bread which you can use to dip into various dishes or simply into the Zataar oil. Watch out, they are addictive. The Chef Rashid platter is a great way to sample several of the restaurants’ offerings. An excellent tasting of various Middle Eastern treats. This is the Zataar dipping sauce, found commonly in many Middle Eastern countries.I ordered the Beiruti Platter which was delicious, but included several tastes of things we covered in other dishes.
We also ordered a plate of three different Hummuses, which I didn’t photograph. The hummus at Kareem’s is smooth and each one is a different treat.
Sol’s Lamb Shank came out in a Tagine plate, very Moroccan. The lamb Shank was served with a great sauce and very tender veggies. My taste was just superb. I’ll probably order it next time we go.Carin had a roasted chicken which was presented beautifully and very enjoyable.Barb had a partially boneless whole fish which she truly enjoyed. I tasted it and liked it a lot..
Kareem’s has real, authentic Lebanese cuisine. The chef keeps a close eye on what’s happening at the tables. Our server, Kate, was charming and steered us well with good recommendations. They have a $20 corkage fee of you choose to bring your own wine. Kareem’s is an excellent asset in the diverse restaurant scene in Naples.
Reminds me of Laser Wolf in Philly
